Freelance English to Vietnamese Translator – Life Sciences

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Translate and proofread documents for a diverse range of clients.

• Prepare and finalize translated materials prior to client submission.

• Collaborate with Project Managers while working under the supervision of a manager.

• Translate Life Sciences materials from English into Vietnamese.

• Assist with the translation requirements of international clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Translate from English into Vietnamese specifically in the Life Science sector.

• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in Vietnamese.

• Specialization in Life Science areas such as Pharmacovigilance, Clinical Technical, Clinical Patient-facing, or Clinical Outcome Assessment.

• Demonstrate acute attention to detail, including spelling and grammar.

• Maintain professionalism in all circumstances, particularly under tight deadlines.

• Candidates must agree to a confidentiality agreement.

• Applicants must complete tests in Translation, MTPE, and/or Proofreading/QM.

• A degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies, or an equivalent degree with substantial translation training from an accredited higher education institution; or

• 2 years of translation experience along with a college degree; or

• 5 years of translation experience without a college degree; or

• A certificate of competence in translation issued by a relevant government authority.

• The latest CV should highlight relevant experience in Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading/QM, along with proposed per-word rates in USD.
