Freelance Dutch Linguist – IT & Software Project

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Edit machine-translated content related to IT, software, SaaS, cloud, and technology from English to Dutch.

• Translate materials from English into Dutch when human translation is necessary.

• Assess localized content for linguistic precision, fluency, terminology, consistency, naturalness, style, and completeness.

• Implement client-specific terminology, style guides, translation memories, reference materials, and quality standards.

• Detect and rectify linguistic issues while maintaining the source's meaning, intent, and technical accuracy.

• Work in conjunction with Acclaro’s Project Management and linguistic teams, completing accepted tasks within established deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level fluency in Dutch.

• Professional proficiency in English, with the ability to comprehend technical source content.

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in translation, localization, machine translation post-editing, editing, or linguistic review.

• Proven experience with IT, software, SaaS, cloud computing, or similar technology content.

• Strong understanding of Dutch grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, and terminology.

• Keen attention to detail and capability to ensure consistency across extensive volumes of content.

• Experience adhering to client glossaries, style guides, translation memories, and project-specific directives.

• Ability to work autonomously, communicate proactively, and adhere to agreed timelines.

• Familiarity with CAT tools and professional localization processes.
