📋 Description

• Convert patent-related materials from English to Portuguese (Brazil) while maintaining meaning and readability.

• Conduct translation and copy editing from English (en-US) to Portuguese (pt-BR) for patent documents.

• Detect and rectify linguistic mistakes while ensuring uniformity in terminology and style.

• Offer comprehensive feedback to translators and compile thorough quality reports.

• Adhere to client-specific style guides, glossaries, and project instructions.

• Utilize XTM CAT tools for reviewing and evaluating translations.

• Oversee a weekly workload exceeding 5,000 words per locale and meet deadlines effectively.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in linguistics, translation, biology, or related disciplines.

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in translation, linguistic quality assessment, copywriting, or copy-editing, particularly within the realm of patents or technical content.

• Comprehensive knowledge of biological terminology and the ability to tailor complex scientific language for various target audiences.

• Documented experience in reviewing or translating patents or technical documentation.

• Proficiency in CAT tools such as XTM for managing projects and assessing quality.

• Native-level fluency in Portuguese.

• Immediate availability for a patent translation project.

• Capability to manage over 5,000 words per locale each week and ensure timely completion of tasks.
