Linguist – Tajik

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Translate content from English to the native language while maintaining cultural nuances and clarity.

• Edit and enhance language content to ensure accuracy, tone, and contextual relevance for various digital platforms.

• Implement current language standards, usage trends, and best practices.

• Assess and provide structured feedback to enhance the quality of the language model.

• Work collaboratively with Production and cross-functional teams to adapt content for language-speaking markets.

• Assist in content development, localization, and quality assurance for digital tools and applications.

• Creatively modify source text for natural transcreation in the target language as needed.

• Complete domain-specific assessments when necessary.

• Fulfill onboarding requirements, including application forms and payment setup.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level fluency in the target language(s).

• A graduate degree in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR

• A graduate degree in another discipline along with 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR

• 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.

• Ability to accurately follow terminology and reference materials.

• Reliable availability and commitment to tasks.

• Most assignments necessitate a minimum of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week.

• An updated CV/resume in English is required.

• Must adhere to geographic restrictions concerning international embargoes or sanctions.

• Responsible for personal tax obligations as a 1099 contractor.
