Freelance Content Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Edit content submitted by writers for grammar, spelling, clarity, tone, and alignment with brand standards.

• Adhere to editorial guidelines and utilize available resources to maintain consistency and quality.

• Integrate feedback from the Managing Editor and apply insights to future projects.

• Conduct thorough reviews of content to identify errors, inconsistencies, and areas for enhancing readability.

• Handle multiple assignments, organize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.

• Work collaboratively with the editorial team to uphold high standards across all outputs.

• Engage in non-client-facing editorial tasks for Front Row, which collaborates with top brands to boost e-commerce growth utilizing data-driven strategies and proprietary technology.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in content editing, writing, marketing, journalism, or a related discipline.

• Relevant internships are encouraged.

• Strong foundational editing skills with exceptional attention to detail.

• Proficient command of written English, with the ability to adapt tone and enhance clarity.

• A collaborative and coachable attitude, with a readiness to accept direction and implement feedback.

• Excellent time-management and organizational capabilities, with the ability to oversee multiple pieces of content.

• Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana, ClickUp, or similar platforms.

• Writing or editing samples that showcase attention to detail and mastery of language.

• A brief editing assessment will be included in the interview process.

• Knowledge of SEO, GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), or organic social content is a plus, though not mandatory.

• The selected candidate must reside in the USA and possess a USA-based bank account.
