Freelance Catalan Linguist – IT & Software Project

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Conduct Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) for Catalan content.

• Occasionally provide human translation services as needed.

• Assess and refine translated materials for linguistic accuracy, fluency, consistency, and naturalness.

• Focus on content related to IT and software.

• Adhere to project-specific guidelines and terminology.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Catalan at a native level.

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a linguist, translator, or MTPE specialist.

• Demonstrated experience in the localization of IT/software content.

• Strong grasp of Catalan grammar, style, and terminology.

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to ensure consistency across extensive content volumes.

• Capability to work independently and adhere to set deadlines.

• Familiarity with CAT tools and localization processes is highly advantageous.
