Linguist, Turkmen

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkmenistan.

📋 Description

• Translate materials between English and Turkmen while maintaining cultural sensitivity and clarity.

• Edit and enhance language content for precision, tone, and contextual relevance across various digital platforms.

• Implement contemporary language standards, usage trends, and best practices.

• Assess and provide constructive feedback to elevate the quality of language models.

• Work with Production and cross-functional teams to adapt content for Turkmen-speaking audiences.

• Assist in the development, localization, and quality assurance of digital tools and applications.

• Complete onboarding and payment setup post-selection and testing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level fluency in Turkmen and English.

• A graduate degree in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR

• A graduate degree in a different field plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR

• 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.

• Ability to adhere strictly to terminology and reference materials.

• Dependable availability and dedication.

• Most assignments require a minimum commitment of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week.

• An updated CV/resume in English is required.

• Candidates must pass a domain-specific test if necessary.

• Contractors must not reside in areas subject to international embargoes or sanctions.

• Contractors are responsible for their own tax obligations.
