Freelance Assessor – Information Communications Technician (ICT)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Evaluate submitted evidence in accordance with a specified assessment plan and grading standards

• Assign scores based on a clearly defined assessment framework and marking guidelines

• Make informed decisions regarding apprentices' knowledge and skills

• Deliver comprehensive feedback to apprentices and establish an overall grade

• Participate in standardisation meetings held twice a year

• Collaborate effectively as a member of the 1st For Awarding assessment team

• Commit to ongoing professional development, recording at least 30 hours of CPD annually

• Adhere to the organisational values, Code of Conduct, and Ofqual’s principle of “do no harm” at 1st For Awarding

• Follow safeguarding policies and protocols

• Complete mandatory training on Preventing Radicalisation and Safeguarding, along with any necessary refresher courses


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in the sector

• Significant experience at occupational Level 3 or higher within the past three years, or considerable proven expertise in the field

• Highly organized with a strong sense of reliability and trustworthiness

• Capable of managing personal schedules and adhering to agreed commitments

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Availability to attend two standardisation events per year

• Experience as an End Point Assessor, Independent Assessor, coach, or tutor (preferred)

• Experience in grading (preferred)

• Solid understanding of apprenticeship standards and EPA (preferred)

• EPA Assessor qualifications such as CAVA, TAQA, Award in Undertaking EPA, or A1 (preferred)

• Access to a computer, webcam, and a reliable internet connection
