Fraud Operations Manager

📋 Description

• Lead a team of exceptional fraud analysts and establish an inspiring vision for the wider Fraud Operations organization.

• Drive the execution of both short-term and long-term initiatives to future-proof the organization and adapt to Stripe’s changing fraud landscape.

• Inspire, motivate, and cultivate the development of the fraud investigations team.

• Set objectives, provide coaching and feedback, and support the professional advancement of team members.

• Develop strategic vision and create execution plans for both immediate and future goals.

• Enhance organizational strategy to scale operations and tackle daily challenges.

• Collaborate with risk leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to pinpoint high-ROI opportunities in user experience, process enhancements, and risk reduction.

• Oversee vendor performance related to risk management operations.

• Conduct root-cause analysis to forecast, prevent, and mitigate risk.

• Define and manage essential metrics, SLAs, and overall organizational performance.

• Identify deficiencies in systems, processes, and strategies to implement enhancements and process optimizations.

• Ensure that risk-management initiatives do not compromise user experience.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in fraud, risk, or management positions, including a minimum of 2 years in directly leading and developing high-performing teams.

• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to convert complex challenges into actionable solutions.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the talent to influence and collaborate across various functions.

• A passion for delivering a user-centric experience while efficiently managing risk.

• Preferred: Expertise in fraud and risk management, encompassing data analysis, root-cause analysis, process improvement, dashboards, and visualizations.

• Preferred: Strong proficiency in sourcing and analyzing data using SQL.

• Preferred: Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams to develop and enhance investigative tools and solutions.

• Preferred: A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field; an advanced degree or certification is advantageous.
