Founding Product FullStack Engineer – AI Fintech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Assume complete responsibility for essential customer issues from initiation to implementation

• Collaborate directly with founders and finance teams to craft user experiences

• Design technical solutions across the entire stack

• Foster the foundational engineering culture

• Collaborate with founders, operators, and finance teams to define product solutions

• Develop comprehensive solutions that encompass frontend, backend, AI, data, and external integrations

• Create AI finance agents for invoicing, collections, payroll, reporting, and month-end close

• Design infrastructure for permissions, audit trails, financial reconciliation, observability, and AI evaluation

• Build integrations with banking, accounting, payroll, payment, and communication platforms including QuickBooks, Plaid, and Stripe

• Develop interfaces that simplify complex financial data into clear insights

• Rapidly deploy to production, monitor customer usage, and iterate based on feedback

• Influence the foundational engineering culture, architecture, and product standards

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional software engineering experience

• Demonstrated success in delivering real products to production

• Experience in both frontend and backend full-stack development

• Ideally proficient in React, TypeScript, Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL

• Strong understanding of product dynamics

• Eagerness and discipline to learn complex financial systems and accounting principles

• Exceptional communication abilities

• Experience in building AI agents, production LLM applications, or familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an advantage

• Preference for candidates with a background in fintech, accounting, payments, banking, or financial data pipelines

• Previous experience managing a product area in an early-stage startup is highly desirable

• Experience in designing APIs, distributed workflows, and systems where security, auditability, and precision are critical is a significant advantage
