This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take charge of and develop Gridsight’s marketing function.
• Establish the marketing strategy, roadmap, objectives, KPIs, measurement systems, resource allocation, budget, operational model, team structure, and necessary capabilities.
• Create AI-driven workflows and reusable systems to enhance marketing quality, speed, and leverage.
• Set the positioning, messaging architecture, value propositions, category narrative, and competitive framing.
• Simplify complex technical capabilities into clear outcomes for utility executives, engineers, planners, operators, customer teams, and procurement stakeholders.
• Develop narratives, sales plays, business cases, presentations, and enablement materials tailored to specific buyers and use cases.
• Oversee marketing execution for product launches and key market moments.
• Stay informed about active opportunities and craft targeted narratives, proofs, or tools to facilitate progress.
• Define and develop an account-based growth strategy encompassing acquisition, expansion, and advocacy.
• Collaborate with Commercial leadership to establish Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs), priority segments, account tiers, buying groups, and account-based strategies.
• Create customized programs for strategic utilities and repeatable account-based strategies for high-fit accounts.
• Engage key members of buying groups through content, executive involvement, customer evidence, events, partnerships, and coordinated sales efforts.
• Work with Customer Success to enhance engagement, identify stakeholders and use cases, and develop expansion narratives.
• Utilize account research and AI-driven analysis to increase relevance and stakeholder engagement.
• Assess Marketing’s impact on stakeholder engagement, executive access, opportunity progression, customer expansion, and advocacy.
• Define the content and market credibility strategy.
• Transform customer outcomes and deployment insights into case studies, executive narratives, sales evidence, event content, and market education.
• Develop content programs focused on utility buyer inquiries, market changes, and operational challenges.
• Shape Gridsight’s executive voice and distinctive market perspectives.
• Organize and distribute content through traditional search, AI-powered discovery, industry channels, and strategic-account engagement.
• Foster a community of utility leaders and practitioners through executive roundtables, customer forums, events, and curated programs.
• Create opportunities for customer advocacy through events, webinars, podcasts, case studies, and industry communities.
• Enhance Gridsight’s credibility and cultivate a network of advocates within the utility ecosystem.
• 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing.
• Significant experience in enterprise product marketing, account-based marketing, or a closely related role.
• Proven track record of building a marketing function, or a substantial component of one, in an early-stage or rapidly growing company.
• Extensive expertise in product marketing, including positioning, messaging, sales enablement, customer research, content marketing, and product launches.
• Experience supporting large, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals with lengthy sales and procurement cycles.
• Proven experience in developing account-based programs with Sales and Customer Success in areas of acquisition, expansion, and advocacy.
• Ability to convert customer outcomes into credible proofs, references, stories, and commercial assets.
• Experience in creating customer advocacy, community, or ecosystem programs.
• Exceptional writing, narrative development, and executive communication skills.
• Experience in formulating marketing strategy, resource allocation, and balancing immediate commercial priorities with long-term market-building investments.
• Capacity to prioritize competing needs and independently deliver high-quality work from insight to execution.
• An AI-forward mindset with practical experience utilizing AI for research, content creation, account intelligence, personalization, analysis, or marketing operations.
• Judgement to identify where AI provides significant leverage versus where human expertise, customer context, and careful review are essential.
• Proven experience in building, leading, and developing high-performing teams, as well as managing external partners.
• Strong judgment, humility, and the ability to collaborate directly with founders, commercial leaders, customers, and technical teams.
• Experience in sectors such as energy, utilities, grid technology, climate technology, infrastructure software, or another complex enterprise category is valuable but not essential.
• Ownership of marketing strategy, budget, and execution.
