This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Conduct research and discover new foundation and grant opportunities that align with the mission of Mercy Chefs.
• Build and sustain a strong pipeline of potential funders.
• Craft persuasive letters of inquiry, grant proposals, and reports.
• Oversee grant calendars to guarantee timely submissions and reporting.
• Monitor foundation revenue and engagement within CRM systems.
• Organize proposal materials, budgets, and supporting documentation.
• Cultivate relationships with foundation partners through thoughtful communication and reporting.
• Collaborate with program, finance, and marketing teams to collect data, impact stories, and outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to grant requirements and funding guidelines.
• Assist in developing grant-related strategies for both short-term and long-term growth.
• A bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, English, business, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in grant writing, foundation relations, or development is preferred.
• Demonstrated success in writing and securing grants (preferred).
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Experience in managing deadlines and multiple projects at the same time.
• Proficient with CRM systems and fundraising software.
• Knowledge of nonprofit budgeting and program outcomes.
