This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Develop and enhance the FOS root cause analysis framework and methodology.
• Supervise the monitoring of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), which includes referral, overturn, and uphold rates.
• Recognize high-risk focus areas and appropriately distribute analytical resources.
• Create and deliver strategic insights during governance forums.
• Foster cross-functional accountability in collaboration with domain leads, Product, Engineering, and Operations teams.
• Ensure business owners take responsibility for root causes and execute agreed-upon actions.
• Assess the long-term effectiveness of remediation initiatives through post-implementation reviews.
• Guarantee that systemic issues are addressed and evaluate overall risk reduction.
• Mentor and cultivate a high-performing team of RCA Analysts.
• Perform quality checks on in-depth analyses.
• Promote ongoing operational enhancements.
• Demonstrated experience in leading RCA strategies, conducting failure investigations, or managing continuous improvement functions within the financial services sector is essential.
• Comprehensive knowledge of DISP, FCA regulatory expectations, and the complete FOS journey as well as the Ombudsman decision-making processes is crucial.
• Outstanding capability to negotiate, challenge, and secure commitment from senior leaders.
• Proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
• Experience with tools such as Looker to monitor metrics, identify trends, and assess risk exposure.
• Proven history of preparing presentations for executive committees.
• Background in enterprise risk management.
• Ability to simplify complex operational failures and technical findings into concise, high-level narratives and actionable recommendations suitable for board-level audiences.
• Must commit to working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, within core hours of 8 AM to 6 PM.
• This role is based in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.
