
Forward Deployed Product Manager – Internal Tools & Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop internal tools that support Giga’s rapidly expanding physical operations.
• Understand operational processes and establish consistent records, responsibilities, workflows, data management, permissions, and decision-making guidelines.
• Transform disjointed handoffs and repetitive tasks into cohesive systems, integrations, automations, and AI-enhanced workflows.
• Enhance the workflow from customer requirements and orders through sourcing, purchasing, cost management, invoicing, and fulfillment.
• Identify and document essential workflows in collaboration with operators.
• Utilize SQL and direct data analysis to reconcile records, validate assumptions, and pinpoint data quality issues.
• Chart the flow of information across business systems, spreadsheets, documents, APIs, and manual processes.
• Design and expand deterministic automation, AI support, and human review workflows.
• Organize process modifications, integrations, automation, and internal tools into effective releases.
• Draft workflow briefs, requirements, data agreements, acceptance criteria, and decision logs.
• Collaborate with engineers on architecture and delivery while taking ownership of business outcomes, roadmaps, and user adoption.
• Oversee rollout, training, migration, and support strategies.
• Evaluate releases based on cycle time, accuracy, visibility, control, and manual effort.
• Set practical permissions, auditing capabilities, and data handling protocols.
• Maintain a targeted roadmap and synchronize diverse business stakeholders and software developers.
• Proven experience managing a cross-functional workflow or internal product from an unclear beginning to successful delivery, adoption, and measurable operational outcomes.
• Strong skills in process discovery, with the ability to identify undocumented rules, exceptions, ownership gaps, and conflicting definitions.
• Practical knowledge of relational data concepts, including entities, identifiers, joins, grain, one-to-many relationships, lifecycle states, lineage, and data quality.
• Capability to write and review SQL for inspecting, joining, reconciling, and validating operational data.
• Familiarity with APIs, integrations, authentication, events or webhooks, error handling, and system boundaries.
• Strong product judgment, including the ability to scope a valuable release, prioritize future developments, and articulate what should be deferred or rejected.
• Experience working closely with software engineers while retaining responsibility for business outcomes and user adoption.
• A track record of influencing technical and operational teams whose priorities and systems you do not directly govern.
• Ability to build trust and communicate effectively with frontline operators, functional leaders, and technical teams in a fully remote environment, even when processes and data are incomplete or undocumented.
• Practical experience in designing, prototyping, or delivering workflow automation, including AI-assisted tools, with sound judgment regarding the use of deterministic logic, AI assistance, and human oversight.
