Forward Deployed Engineer – AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and implement secure, scalable, and robust AWS cloud architectures.

• Utilize Infrastructure as Code along with contemporary microservices/serverless methodologies.

• Act as the primary technical authority on key enterprise client projects.

• Convert intricate business objectives into high-performance AWS solutions.

• Oversee extensive migrations from on-premises data centers or outdated platforms to AWS.

• Re-engineer legacy monolithic applications into modern serverless or containerized solutions.

• Architect and implement enterprise-level Generative AI and machine learning workloads.

• Develop data platforms and AI solutions leveraging AWS services and vector databases.

• Identify high-value cloud workloads and promote the expansion of AWS consumption.

• Mentor and guide Cloud Engineers and Solutions Architects.

• Create internal accelerators, reusable Terraform modules, AWS Well-Architected Review frameworks, and best practices for cloud delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of practical experience in Cloud Architecture, DevOps/SRE, or Software Engineering with an emphasis on AWS.

• More than 3 years in a client-facing consulting, Solutions Architecture, or Forward Deployed Engineering position.

• Proficiency in core AWS services (IAM, VPC, EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudFront, Route 53).

• Expert-level skills in Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.

• Experience with automated CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).

• Hands-on experience with Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Glue, Redshift, or OpenSearch.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional and/or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional is mandatory.

• Demonstrated experience leading technical delivery for Fortune 500 or mid-market enterprise clients.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Capability to whiteboard complex architectures, create working POCs/demos, and present to C-level executives.

• Ability to identify technical expansion opportunities, perform AWS Well-Architected Reviews, and advocate for cloud modernization.
