Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Utilize AI tools and implementation knowledge to create foundational solutions, tackle complex challenges, expedite time-to-value, and lower conventional service costs.

• Collaborate with the sales team to support SailPoint's growth targets.

• Engage in sales opportunities and customer interactions.

• Design solutions and provide proof-of-value implementations along with technical demonstrations.

• Align customer technical needs with SailPoint platform features.

• Conduct technical discovery sessions and product architecture presentations for potential clients.

• Act as the main technical lead on intricate enterprise customer projects.

• Work in conjunction with Solution Engineering, Professional Services, Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams.

• Develop reusable agentic technology solutions and implementation resources for standard demonstration frameworks.

• Function as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise clients, strategic partners, and internal teams.

• Mentor and onboard new Forward Deployed Engineers.

• Represent SailPoint at regional user groups, webinars, or industry conferences.

• Achieve SailPoint Certified Engineer or Solution Architect certification.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.

• 5-7+ years of professional experience within an enterprise software company, systems integrator, or technology consulting firm.

• 3+ years of hands-on software implementation, technical advisory, or pre-sales engineering experience.

• Demonstrated experience in software development, system configuration, and SaaS architecture.

• Proficient knowledge of web services, application servers, relational/NoSQL databases, virtualization, and enterprise directory services (LDAP, AD).

• Practical familiarity with Java, Python, SQL, PowerShell, JavaScript, TypeScript, or NodeJS.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with significant experience presenting directly to enterprise clients and partners.

• Comfortable with prompting, agentic workflows, and human-in-the-loop review of AI-generated code.

• Experience with Cursor and Claude Code.

• Knowledge of Python-based AI/ML frameworks and libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas, and numpy.

• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.

• Understanding of LLMs and foundation models in Bedrock, VertexAI, or similar technologies.

• 3+ years of experience working with Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) or Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions (preferred).

• Previous experience with SailPoint or similar identity platforms (preferred).

• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, ServiceNow, SAP, or Salesforce (preferred).

• Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, AWS/Azure certifications, or SailPoint certifications (preferred).
