Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and execution of intricate ML/AI systems from start to finish

• Create, deploy, and enhance scalable ML platforms

• Identify and resolve integration issues in operational systems

• Collaborate closely with client teams

• Work in partnership with product, engineering, and leadership teams

• Explain complex AI trade-offs, risks, and opportunities

• Lead design reviews and technical conversations

• Establish AI architecture and engineering standards

• Facilitate client adoption of AI systems after delivery

• Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers

• Take responsibility for high-impact work assignments

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional software engineering experience

• More than 4 years dedicated to AI/ML systems in production environments

• Strong software engineering foundation (Python or a comparable language)

• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS services

• Demonstrated success in designing and delivering complex agentic systems

• Proficiency in AI frameworks and orchestration tools

• Significant experience with evaluation frameworks and observability tools for LLM applications

• Thorough understanding of AI safety and responsible AI principles

• Vast experience in constructing RAG pipelines

• Experience in API design

• Advanced skills in cost optimization

• Solid working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes

• Expert proficiency in AI-oriented coding tools
