Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement production-grade data pipelines, analytics engines, and Generative AI/LLM applications utilizing Databricks, Spark, Python/PySpark, and contemporary cloud environments.

• Act as the key technical leader on crucial enterprise client initiatives.

• Collaborate with C-level executives, VP/Directors of Data, and engineering teams to convert business challenges into technical solutions.

• Oversee complex migrations from Snowflake, Teradata, legacy Hadoop, SQL Server, and various other platforms to the Databricks Lakehouse architecture.

• Assist enterprise customers in the adoption of GenAI solutions, RAG architectures, model fine-tuning, and integrations with MLflow/Databricks Mosaic AI.

• Identify valuable technical use cases across client business units, enhance Databricks platform utilization, and promote measurable ROI for clients.

• Mentor and guide junior Solution Engineers, Architects, and Consultants.

• Contribute to internal RevStar code libraries, reusable accelerators, and best practices for technical delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of practical experience in Data Engineering, Machine Learning, or Solutions Architecture.

• 3+ years of extensive technical experience in the Databricks Ecosystem, including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, MLflow, Spark/PySpark, Databricks Workflows/Jobs, and Mosaic AI.

• Hands-on experience in designing and deploying RAG pipelines, fine-tuning LLMs, working with vector databases, and managing ML pipelines from start to finish.

• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures; AWS is preferred, including S3, Glue, Lambda, and Redshift.

• Proven success in migrating enterprise legacy data warehouses/lakes to Databricks.

• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional and/or Machine Learning Professional certification is preferred.

• Demonstrated success in leading technical delivery for Fortune 500 or large enterprise clients.

• Experience in Healthcare, Retail, or Consumer Goods is a significant advantage.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

• Comfortable presenting technical architecture, creating POCs/demos, and managing client stakeholders up to the C-suite level.

• Ability to identify technical expansion opportunities within existing client accounts and act as a technical advocate to enhance account presence.
