This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
β’ Collaborate across Sales, Product, R&D, and Implementation teams.
β’ Partner with Solutions Consultants and Account Executives on strategic accounts as well as new opportunities.
β’ Take ownership of discovery, technical scoping, architecture, implementation, evaluation, productionization, adoption, and handoff for tailored customer solutions.
β’ Implement the current product using customer data to demonstrate value in sales negotiations.
β’ Quickly prototype near-production-ready solutions when existing product capabilities fall short.
β’ Create the smallest viable prototype to validate hypotheses within deal timelines.
β’ Design production solutions ensuring security, reliability, observability, maintainability, and architectural integration.
β’ Develop, deploy, and assess solutions utilizing customer data.
β’ Evaluate adoption, workflow impact, reliability, and time-to-value; iterate in collaboration with stakeholders.
β’ Collaborate with Product and R&D to transform validated customer trends into roadmap investments, reusable components, and platform enhancements.
β’ Create reusable accelerators based on recurring customer demands.
β’ Develop and continuously refine solution specifications in partnership with customers.
β’ Assess business potential, market requirements, competitive advantages, and functional and technical specifications with the Product team.
β’ Align customer needs, ideas, roadmaps, and visions with Product and Sales organizations.
β’ Measure role outcomes through influenced ACV, prototype delivery time, successful transition to production, accelerator reuse, and product gap decisions.
β’ Strong customer-facing and commercial acumen.
β’ Capability to conduct technical discovery sessions and engage in value discussions with both technical and business stakeholders.
β’ Ability to connect technical solutions with customer outcomes and deal value.
β’ Skill in generalizing customer solutions into reusable accelerators.
β’ Experience in LLM application development.
β’ Knowledge of RAG, prompt and context engineering, and agent orchestration.
β’ Insight into judgment calls regarding single versus multi-agent patterns and memory and state management.
β’ Familiarity with modern AI coding tools such as Claude Code.
β’ Understanding of enterprise integrations within a regulated utility sector.
β’ Experience with ESRI ArcGIS/Smallworld, IBM Maximo/EAM, SAP/Oracle ERP/PPM, and PowerBI/reporting systems.
β’ Technical and functional comprehension of REST and streaming APIs, authentication methods, and integration with enterprise systems of record.
β’ Willingness to travel to customer sites as necessary, up to approximately 50%.
β’ Preferred background in software or data engineering.
β’ Experience in building and deploying maintainable software (preferred).
β’ Proficiency in Angular, Python, or a similar programming language (preferred).
β’ Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and processes for ingestion, transformation, and serving pipelines (preferred).
β’ Strong debugging skills with imperfect customer data in live environments (preferred).
β’ Experience in production engineering focusing on observability, performance, and operating at scale (preferred).
β’ Previous experience in customer-facing technical roles, solutions engineering, forward deployment, technical consulting, or in startups (preferred).
β’ Past experience deploying AI solutions in enterprise or regulated settings (preferred).
