Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Gather customer requirements and convert them into detailed implementation strategies.

• Develop and deploy fonio setups in production, encompassing workflows, logic, prompts, and guardrails.

• Establish integrations with external systems such as APIs, webhooks, CRMs, calendars, and ticketing platforms.

• Create smaller features and integration code to address specific customer needs.

• Troubleshoot calls, flows, edge cases, and production challenges.

• Design reusable templates and deployment playbooks for scalable configurations.

• Provide prioritized, actionable product feedback regarding pain points and feature deficiencies.

• Operate directly at the convergence of product development and customer setups for the London market.

• Partner with Product/Engineering and Go-to-Market teams to ensure fast, stable, and repeatable deployments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong coding abilities; capable of implementing independently, rather than merely configuring.

• In-depth knowledge of AI systems and LLMs, including prompting, tool usage, RAG, and failure modes.

• Competence in converting complex processes into solid, testable workflows.

• Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, authentication, and common integration patterns.

• Understanding of cloud fundamentals, including deployments, observability, and production troubleshooting.

• Pragmatic approach: deliver quickly, ensure stability, and iterate as needed.

• Proficiency in English at a native or near-native level.

• Bonus: Experience with Voice/Telephony, n8n, TypeScript/Python, SQL, monitoring/tracing, GDPR.
