Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical leader at the convergence of Palantir Foundry's functionalities and intricate healthcare data as well as operational projects.

• Propel transformational results for kidney care and healthcare operations.

• Design enterprise-level solutions.

• Create and implement applications.

• Provide mentorship to engineers as needed.

• Define the technical strategy for vital engagements throughout the client's healthcare landscape.

• Connect platform capabilities with operational demands.

• Design, develop, and sustain production-grade batch, streaming, and CDC data pipelines.

• Create user-facing applications, custom widgets, and operational workflows.

• Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.

• Convert business requirements into scalable solutions within Foundry.

• Guide teams and lead solution architecture for enterprise engagements as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or technical consulting.

• More than 2 years of experience in developing solutions using Palantir Foundry.

• Proficient programming skills in Python, SQL, TypeScript, and/or Java.

• Specialized knowledge in using PySpark, Pandas, Polars, and DuckDB for extensive data engineering tasks.

• In-depth understanding of Foundry Ontology, including Object Types, Link Types, Action Types, Interfaces, Functions, and OSDK development.

• Proven experience in designing, developing, and sustaining production-grade batch, streaming, and CDC data pipelines.

• Familiarity with Pipeline Builder, Incremental Pipelines, Data Connections, Connectors, Syncs, and Scheduling.

• Experience in creating user-facing applications using Workshop, OSDK, React/TypeScript/Python, custom widgets, and operational workflows.

• Strong knowledge of GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, and enterprise networking principles.

• Experience in designing scalable BigQuery data warehouse solutions, including query optimization, partitioning, clustering, and transitioning from legacy enterprise data warehouses.

• Solid understanding of enterprise data governance and security, encompassing Markings, Permissions, Restricted Views, Cipher, ABAC, and HIPAA-compliant data practices.

• Excellent communication skills with technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.

• Preferred experience in developing AI-powered applications using Palantir AIP, including AIP Logic, AIP Agents, LLM Functions, and Evaluation Suites.

• Preferred experience in building and operationalizing machine learning solutions with Model Studio, pro-code model authoring, batch inference, live inference, and BigQuery ML.

• Preferred experience in deploying enterprise solutions on GCP and enhancing cloud-native data architectures.

• Preferred experience in the healthcare sector, particularly in kidney care, clinical operations, revenue cycle management, or regulated healthcare environments.

• Preferred experience in leading teams of 3 or more engineers in Forward Deployed Engineering or technical consulting projects.

• Preferred experience contributing to internal developer tools, reusable Foundry accelerators, open-source initiatives, or platform enablement projects.

• Demonstrated capability to mentor engineers, establish technical standards, and lead solution architecture across various enterprise projects.

• Ability to participate in internal and external meetings via video conferencing as needed.

• Willingness to work onsite at corporate or client locations as necessary.
