Forward Deployed AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to develop solutions through workshops, rapid iterations, and hands-on implementation.

• Identify, assess, and obtain necessary data for each use case by working closely with the Data Engineer.

• Convert use cases into production-ready GenAI and agentic AI solutions, which include RAG architectures, intelligent assistants, and AI-enabled workflows.

• Prototype, test, deploy, monitor, and refine solutions in real client environments utilizing feedback from users and domain experts.

• Work together with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Foundations Architects, Governance specialists, Business Value Advisors, and Service Delivery Managers.

• Manage the balance of speed, quality, cost, security, and maintainability through clear technical and delivery trade-offs.

• Establish success criteria that encompass adoption, performance, reliability, risk, cost, and measurable business value.

• Ensure solutions are documented, governed, and prepared for client operations.

• Transform successful deliveries into reusable patterns, accelerators, and building blocks for future projects.

• Engage with global clients on innovative Digital & Data initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Typically possess 5–10 years of relevant experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or technical consulting.

• Hands-on experience in delivering AI, GenAI, or software solutions into production environments.

• Proven experience working directly with clients or within complex stakeholder ecosystems.

• Demonstrated ability to convert complex use cases into adopted, measurable solutions.

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Proficient in Python development.

• Experience with API integration and modern software engineering practices.

• Practical experience with Large Language Models, GenAI architectures, prompt workflows, and model/provider selection.

• Familiarity with RAG, embeddings, vector search, AI agents, and agentic workflows.

• Knowledge of tools such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, or similar tools.

• Experience in integrating AI into enterprise systems, APIs, and business workflows.

• Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or GCP.

• Working knowledge of Docker, Git, CI/CD, production deployment, monitoring, and evaluation.

• Understanding of MLOps/LLMOps, security, data privacy, governance, and responsible AI principles.
