This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Execute and oversee forest inventories and field surveys in alignment with relevant standards.
• Validate, analyze, and organize the data collected.
• Carry out digitization/vectorization and geospatial data processing in GIS platforms (ArcGIS, QGIS).
• Generate technical reports, create maps, and conduct analyses that fulfill contractual obligations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance and quality of outputs.
• Engage in the planning and organization of project initiatives.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of internal processes and methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in forestry engineering or a related discipline.
• Active, in-good-standing membership with the OIFQ (required).
• Proficiency in GIS tools (ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS) within a professional setting.
• Exceptional writing abilities for the creation of technical documentation.
• Demonstrated capability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
