Forensic Structural Engineer, PE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Execute thorough forensic investigations related to structural damage, defects, failures, moisture intrusion, premises liability claims, and roofing issues.

• Conduct site inspections and collect pertinent data.

• Utilize engineering principles and practices to assess structural challenges.

• Draft technical reports that detail findings and conclusions.

• Offer expert testimony in legal matters when necessary.

• Keep abreast of the latest trends, codes, and standards in the structural engineering industry.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

• Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE).

• Preferred experience in forensic engineering.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.

• Experience providing expert testimony in legal proceedings is advantageous.

• Candidate must be located in Nebraska or Iowa.

• U.S. Person status is required due to ITAR export controls: this includes U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents, individuals granted refugee status, or those granted asylum in the United States.
