This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +1 more state.
β’ Execute thorough forensic investigations related to structural damage, defects, failures, moisture intrusion, premises liability claims, and roofing issues.
β’ Conduct site inspections and collect pertinent data.
β’ Utilize engineering principles and practices to assess structural challenges.
β’ Draft technical reports that detail findings and conclusions.
β’ Offer expert testimony in legal matters when necessary.
β’ Keep abreast of the latest trends, codes, and standards in the structural engineering industry.
β’ Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
β’ Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE).
β’ Preferred experience in forensic engineering.
β’ Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
β’ Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
β’ Experience providing expert testimony in legal proceedings is advantageous.
β’ Candidate must be located in Nebraska or Iowa.
β’ U.S. Person status is required due to ITAR export controls: this includes U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents, individuals granted refugee status, or those granted asylum in the United States.
