This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Serve as a Civil/Structural Consulting Engineer tasked with conducting independent engineering design reviews; please note this is not a design role.

• Evaluate civil and structural designs for both new and existing power generation initiatives, which encompass wind, solar, hydro, battery energy storage systems, and thermal projects.

• Assist Project Managers during transactional due diligence assessments.

• Examine relevant design codes, EPC Contract specifications, as well as manufacturer drawings and calculations prepared by others.

• Offer subject matter expertise in civil and structural design, along with reviewing specifications, drawings, and calculations.

• Aid in the monitoring and management of projects.

• Create sales proposals.

• Conduct technology and bankability assessments as required.

• Provide Owner's Engineering and Advisory support.

• Adhere to client deadlines across various projects while managing multiple project review timelines.

• Travel for project site visits to support reviews.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

• Over eight years of experience in industrial, power delivery, or power generation project designs, or other pertinent experience.

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Experience in reviewing finite element analysis models, calculations, design drawing packages, design bases, and methodologies.

• Proficient in civil, structural, and geotechnical design codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC, and AISI.

• Familiarity with structural analysis software such as STAAD or RISA 3D.

• Capability to meet client deadlines across multiple projects while under pressure.

• Ability to manage scheduling commitments for several project reviews.

• Willingness to travel for project site visits, including potential international assignments.

• Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Adobe/Bluebeam.

• A Master’s degree in civil/structural engineering is advantageous.

• FE/EIT certification and a desire to acquire professional engineer licensure are preferred.

• A Professional Engineer's (PE) license is a plus.

• A Licensed Structural Engineer (SE) designation is advantageous.

• Proficiency in Spanish, both speaking and reading, is a plus.

• Familiarity with large construction projects and electrical transmission and distribution is beneficial.

• Experience in designing power generation projects is a significant differentiator.

• Knowledge of construction specifications, submittals, and construction documentation is favorable.
