Forensic Structural Engineer, PE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Execute comprehensive forensic investigations into structural failures, collapses, and construction defects.

• Conduct site inspections and collect pertinent data to facilitate forensic analysis.

• Apply engineering principles and methodologies to evaluate and diagnose structural problems.

• Create clear and concise technical reports that detail findings and conclusions.

• Offer expert testimony in legal matters when necessary.

• Remain informed about industry developments, codes, and standards associated with structural engineering.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

• Licensed Civil or Structural Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Illinois.

• Structural Engineer (S.E.) licensure is preferred.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to deadlines.

• Experience providing expert testimony in legal settings is advantageous.

• U.S. Person status is required due to ITAR export controls; eligible categories include U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees.
