This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Conduct thorough forensic investigations into structural failures and construction defects.
• Execute site inspections and collect pertinent data to support forensic evaluations.
• Apply engineering principles and practices to analyze and address structural concerns.
• Create clear and concise technical reports that detail findings and conclusions.
• Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings as necessary.
• Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and standards pertinent to structural engineering.
• Assist projects and teams across the Greenville and Charlotte regions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Preferred: Licensed Engineer Intern (EI or EIT) or the capacity to obtain licensure.
• Must be willing to travel by road for several days each week, including local and regional air travel.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• U.S. Person status required: U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
• Frequent travel to and from site investigations is expected.
