Forensic Accountant, Manager/Partner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform forensic accounting investigations pertaining to insurance claims, litigation issues, allegations of fraud, and financial disagreements.

• Evaluate financial documents, business processes, profitability/loss figures, and additional records to determine damages, loss assessments, and claim legitimacy.

• Calculate economic damages, which may include losses from business interruptions, additional expenses, inventory losses, and other insured or litigated risks.

• Create comprehensive expert reports, financial models, summaries, and supporting analyses.

• Support legal teams by interpreting financial information and offering litigation assistance, including aid with discovery and preparation for depositions.

• Present findings to clients, attorneys, insurers, and internal leadership.

• Serve as an expert witness when necessary, if applicable.

• Uphold documentation standards to guarantee defensibility, audit readiness, and compliance with regulatory and legal standards.

• Collaborate with claims professionals, attorneys, adjusters, and subject matter experts.

• Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory updates, and best practices in forensic accounting and insurance litigation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in Forensic Accounting or a closely related field.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a relevant discipline.

• CPA designation or substantial experience in forensic accounting within insurance or litigation environments.

• Proven experience in financial investigations, damage assessment, insurance claims evaluation, or similar forensic activities.

• Strong skills in financial analysis, modeling, and investigative methodologies.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a knack for converting complex data into clear, defensible conclusions.

• High level of attention to detail and outstanding analytical/problem-solving skills.

• Capability to handle multiple projects and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

• Preferred history of maintaining enduring client relationships that foster repeat business.

• CPA – Certified Public Accountant, preferred.

• CFF – Certified in Financial Forensics, preferred.

• CFE – Certified Fraud Examiner, preferred.

• CVA – Certified Valuation Analyst, preferred.

• ABV – Accredited in Business Valuation, preferred.

• Other pertinent certifications in insurance forensic or litigation-focused areas, preferred.
