Foreman, Lighting Technician – Traveling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage teams executing commercial lighting retrofit projects.

• Conduct both interior and exterior commercial lighting retrofitting.

• Retrofit and replace current lighting fixtures, lamps, drivers, ballasts, and associated components.

• Install new LED lighting systems and upgrade existing fixtures to LED.

• Perform exterior lighting tasks, including work on parking lots, wall-pack, canopies, and building-mounted lights.

• Carry out interior lighting tasks in commercial and retail settings.

• Diagnose lighting and electrical issues that arise during retrofit projects.

• Interpret project scopes, lighting plans, fixture schedules, and installation guidelines.

• Coordinate daily crew assignments and ensure productivity is maintained.

• Ensure that work is completed in line with project specifications and quality standards.

• Communicate project progress, material requirements, and field challenges with project management.

• Operate scissor lifts, boom lifts, ladders, and other necessary equipment.

• Work safely and effectively at elevated heights.

• Keep accurate project documentation.

• Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in good condition.

• Ensure job sites are left clean and professional.

• Travel extensively across the United States as needed for projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in commercial lighting retrofitting is a must.

• Practical experience with both interior and exterior lighting retrofit projects.

• Previous experience leading a lighting crew or serving as a Foreman.

• Strong understanding of commercial lighting fixtures and retrofit applications.

• Experience working in commercial and retail environments is essential.

• Proficient in operating scissor lifts and boom lifts.

• Comfortable working at heights and performing exterior lighting tasks.

• Capable of troubleshooting common lighting and installation issues.

• Ability to lead a crew while also engaging in hands-on installation work.

• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership abilities.

• Willingness to work nights or adhere to other project-specific schedules as necessary.

• Ability and readiness to travel extensively.

• Valid driver's license required.

• Clean driving record is necessary.

• No felony convictions.

• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic are essential.

• Capability to meet the physical demands associated with commercial lighting installation work.
