Foreman Carpenter – Retail Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of carpenters and assistant carpenters.

• Organize work activities and prioritize tasks to achieve production objectives.

• Analyze and interpret plans, specifications, and project timelines.

• Execute layout and ensure that installations comply with project requirements.

• Supervise workmanship and uphold high-quality standards.

• Collaborate with project management, subcontractors, vendors, and store staff.

• Facilitate daily safety meetings and ensure a safe work environment.

• Anticipate material requirements and address potential issues before they affect the schedule.

• Train and guide less experienced team members.

• Assist in delivering projects on schedule and meeting customer expectations.

• Manage retail construction projects from inception to completion, including millwork, cabinetry, fixtures, displays, décor packages, framing, drywall, interior finishes, wall panels, trim, doors, hardware, accessories, remodels, tenant improvements, and store refresh projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in commercial carpentry.

• At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role as a Lead Carpenter or Foreman.

• Familiarity with retail, commercial, tenant improvements, or remodeling construction.

• Proficient in framing, drywall, finish carpentry, fixture installation, and millwork.

• Competent in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams while ensuring productivity and quality.

• Experience in coordinating various trades within active construction sites.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

• Willingness to travel and stay overnight as project schedules necessitate.

• Strong commitment to safety, accountability, and teamwork.
