This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the entire foodservice contracting lifecycle, from negotiating contracts to managing vendors and handling renewals.
• Coordinate marketing support, manage RFI/RFP/RFQ/bid packages, negotiate terms and conditions, and oversee vendor management and renewals.
• Implement and enforce control policies, procedures, quality control measures, and key performance indicators.
• Design engagement strategies and metrics for suppliers under contract.
• Prepare and present category analyses to the Foodservice Committee for contract awards.
• Offer membership assistance regarding open inquiries and opportunities.
• Monitor ongoing category performance, including identifying contract coverage prospects, keeping track of industry trends, and ensuring adherence to contracted price change terms.
• Develop and oversee project workplans, timelines, resources, and milestones.
• Prioritize team initiatives, mentor team members, delegate tasks, and review work for precision.
• Generate project status reports and manage project-related information.
• Identify and address project challenges while managing client expectations.
• Engage in Product Planning and Contract Management sourcing meetings.
• Formulate sourcing and negotiation strategies for product categories and suppliers.
• Communicate with suppliers and supervise RFPs, member analyses, and negotiation sessions.
• Assess supplier-requested changes in terms and conditions.
• Create negotiation meeting materials and facilitate both simple and complex supplier negotiation discussions.
• Develop recommendations for final contract awards and present them to cross-functional teams.
• Analyze savings, coordinate final contracts, and assist with Contract Launch Plans.
• Provide constructive feedback, resolve employee issues, offer counseling, and engage in training activities.
• Enforce quality standards, assess delivery, and oversee process and technology improvement initiatives.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Background in foodservice operations, administration, marketing, purchasing/category management, and/or sales with a strong understanding of products.
• Experience in contract/account management with diverse and extensive contracts.
• Proven analytical skills in managing and interpreting contract-related data (large data sets) and presenting findings.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects.
• Knowledge in Food Service Program Operations.
• Proficient in Data Analytics.
• Experience in account management.
• Familiarity with Supply Chain Management.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Project Management experience.
• Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
• Adaptability to rapidly changing priorities; ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in operating computer programs and software.
• Effective communication skills with audiences both in person and electronically.
• Day-to-day interactions with others (co-workers and/or the public).
