Food, Health & Safety Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Promote a positive and proactive culture surrounding Food, Health & Safety.

• Offer expert advice, mentoring, and coaching to managers, chefs, and operational teams.

• Spearhead the execution of Food, Health & Safety policies, procedures, training, and safety initiatives across all locations.

• Oversee and assist in investigations related to accidents, allergen incidents, and claimed food poisoning cases.

• Determine root causes and ensure that corrective and preventive measures are implemented.

• Analyze and report on safety performance metrics while identifying trends.

• Collaborate with teams to minimize recurrences and escalate emerging risks.

• Perform regular site visits and advocate for best practices.

• Ensure the prompt resolution of accident, audit, and EHO action plans.

• Assist new mobilizations in integrating safety processes.

• Manage and implement the digital safety management system.

• Monitor the utilization of the system and address instances of non-compliance or identified risks.

• Develop and maintain Food, Health & Safety training programs.

• Ensure the completion and proper recordkeeping of mandatory Food Safety, Health & Safety, and allergen training.

• Create presentations and deliver them at both internal and external meetings.

• Work collaboratively with the broader Food, Health & Safety team on documentation, training materials, projects, and initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).

• Food Safety Level 4 (or equivalent).

• Extensive knowledge of food safety, allergen management, and health & safety regulations.

• Proven experience in conducting investigations, audits, and providing coaching.

• Exceptional communication and influencing abilities with the confidence to challenge and guide senior stakeholders.

• Background in hospitality, contract catering, or local authority settings.

• BSc or MSc in Environmental Health (or equivalent) is desirable.

• Membership in IOSH, CIEH, or IIRSM is desirable.

• Experience in supporting multi-site operations is desirable.
