Floor Technical Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the direct supervision of both union and non-union staff engaged in BWR Refuel Floor outage maintenance activities.

• Lead project delivery planning, which includes transition strategies, risk identification, risk mitigation, and contingency planning.

• Coach and guide multidisciplinary and multicultural teams made up of GEH and contingent personnel, including craft labor.

• Contribute technical insights to the development of commercial proposals concerning labor quantity, labor hours, tooling, and logistics.

• Build and maintain relationships with senior-level management from customers and suppliers regarding commercial, execution, technical, and compliance matters.

• Assist in Product Line initiatives, including proposal formulation, product innovation, growth strategies, and the development and delivery of training programs.

• Offer Subject Matter Expertise in reactor maintenance, in-vessel tooling, and GEH OEM equipment.

• Uphold integrity, nuclear safety, and a culture of quality.

• Provide leadership to ensure that high-quality deliverables meet customer specifications, business procedures, and regulatory standards.

• Promote standard GVH processes across projects while ensuring adherence to procedures.

• Undertake additional tasks as required by business needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering field with 5 years of experience in BWR Refuel Floor Outage Maintenance, or a High School Diploma accompanied by at least 10 years of relevant experience.

• Prior experience as a Refuel Floor Technical Director or a similar role supporting Refuel Outage maintenance activities.

• Willingness and ability to travel over 70% of the time to domestic and international customer locations.

• Readiness to assist with off-season projects, such as Spent Fuel Pool cleanup and Dry Cask storage initiatives.

• Capability and willingness to instruct GEH Technical Training courses.

• Ability to meet Fitness for Duty requirements and site security standards to gain and retain unescorted access at U.S. and international nuclear facilities.

• Comfort working in radiation-controlled and radioactively contaminated environments.

• Ability to pass a respirator fit test and physical examination.

• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, 7 days per week during field project execution.

• Proficiency in managing effectively under high-stress conditions.

• Broader nuclear experience encompassing plant operations and/or maintenance tasks.

• Familiarity with Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) outage maintenance operations.

• Experience in executing Spent Fuel Pool Cleanup and Dry Cask Storage projects.

• Strong computer skills with the ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite, P6, PLM, and Oracle ERP.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities.

• Keen attention to detail and a sense of ownership regarding outputs.

• Highly organized and self-motivated.
