This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Oversee the integration of Global Trade within the digital enterprise for Pratt & Whitney and its worldwide locations.

• Provide guidance on Global Trade issues related to Digital Technology and business transformation projects.

• Convert Global Trade needs into both business and technology specifications.

• Articulate, defend, and critically evaluate requirements with Global Trade, Digital Technology, business leaders, project teams, and senior executives.

• Review and question initiatives where there are misalignments in priorities, compliance requirements, risks, or business goals.

• Formulate recommendations and facilitate the resolution of issues.

• Lead the advancement of the Automated Export Control System (AECS) value stream.

• Outline future-state capabilities and promote automation, data-driven controls, and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC).

• Set up Global Trade governance and engagement frameworks for technology projects.

• Ensure that requirements are integrated into architecture, processes, record systems, and controls.

• Evaluate and enhance the Global Trade control environment utilizing digital tools and processes.

• Identify capability deficiencies, emerging risks, automation prospects, scalability enhancements, and operational efficiencies.

• Influence enterprise and corporate Global Trade initiatives.

• Deliver strategic leadership and visibility across the portfolio.

• Highlight risks and dependencies to empower senior leaders in making informed decisions.

• Cultivate relationships and lead through influence across Global Trade, Digital Technology, and the business.

• Eliminate obstacles and foster alignment in a complex global organization.

• Discover opportunities to enhance Global Trade compliance through technology, processes, and data.

• Report directly to the Director of Global Trade, DT/GT, and AECS.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 12+ years of experience in Global Trade, export compliance, trade technology, or related fields, including familiarity with export control and sanctions regulations; or an advanced degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.

• Must be a U.S. Person: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or another protected individual as specified in the posting.

• In-depth understanding of jurisdiction and classification, authorizations and licensing, tangible imports and exports, intangible transfers, and sanctions and screening.

• Proficient with enterprise platforms and technologies such as SAP/SAP GTS, classification and licensing solutions, sanctions screening, identity and access management, data governance, or compliance automation technologies.

• Experience in designing or implementing automated Global Trade controls, export compliance systems, digital compliance capabilities, or ABAC.

• Ability to translate regulatory or compliance requirements into technology specifications, system controls, and scalable business processes.

• Strong business acumen with the capability to assess risk, business value, cost, and operational impact.

• Competence in operating effectively with senior executives and demanding stakeholders, influencing outcomes without direct authority.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience across various geographies, business units, and regulatory environments is advantageous.

• Familiarity with applying Global Trade requirements in intricate business and technology settings.

• Knowledge of automated trade compliance systems and digital technologies, including ERP/GTS platforms, classification solutions, screening platforms, data governance, or access-control solutions.

• Experience in a highly regulated industry or complex global environment.

• Background working within or in close collaboration with a Digital Technology organization, including aspects of enterprise architecture, application development, data, access controls, and technology delivery processes.

• Strong strategic and analytical thinking abilities.

• Robust leadership and influencing capabilities within a matrixed, global organization.

• Strong sense of ownership and urgency, with the ability to prioritize conflicting demands, escalate risks, and resolve issues.

• Willingness to travel between company locations approximately 10% of the time.
