This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Directly oversee both union and non-union staff engaged in BWR Refuel Floor outage maintenance tasks.
• Lead the planning for project delivery, transition strategies, risk identification, risk management, and contingency planning.
• Guide and mentor multidisciplinary and multicultural teams consisting of GEH personnel and contingent labor, including craft workers.
• Assist in the creation of commercial proposals by providing technical insights regarding labor quantities, labor hours, tools, and logistics.
• Build trustworthy relationships and engage with senior-level customer and supplier management concerning commercial, execution, technical, and compliance matters.
• Contribute to Product Line efforts, including proposal generation, product innovation, growth initiatives, and the development and delivery of training programs.
• Offer subject matter expertise on reactor maintenance, in-vessel tooling, and GEH original equipment manufacturer (OEM) gear.
• Uphold GE values by demonstrating integrity, nuclear safety, and a culture of quality.
• Provide leadership to guarantee that deliverables meet customer expectations, adhere to business procedures, and comply with regulatory standards.
• Promote standard GVH processes across projects and ensure adherence to procedures.
• Carry out additional assignments as required by business needs.
• A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering field along with 5 years of experience in BWR Refuel Floor Outage Maintenance, or a High School Diploma with at least 10 years of experience in the same area.
• Prior experience as a Refuel Floor Technical Director or in a similar role supporting Refuel Outage maintenance tasks.
• Willingness and ability to travel over 70% of the time to domestic and international customer sites.
• Willingness to assist with off-season projects such as Spent Fuel Pool cleanup and Dry Cask storage initiatives.
• Capability and willingness to teach GEH Technical Training courses.
• Ability to meet Fitness for Duty standards and site security protocols to obtain and maintain unescorted access at US and International Nuclear Plant Sites.
• Capacity to work in radiation-controlled and radioactively contaminated environments.
• Ability to successfully complete a respirator fit test and physical examination.
• Willingness to work 12 hours per day, 7 days a week during field project execution.
• Competence to manage effectively in high-stress conditions.
• Broader nuclear experience, including plant operations and/or maintenance roles.
• Experience in Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) outage maintenance tasks.
• Proficiency in executing Spent Fuel Pool Cleanup and Dry Cask Storage projects.
• Commercial experience, including proposal development and cost estimation skills.
• Extensive knowledge of nuclear power plant refueling, maintenance, inspections, and modifications.
• Familiarity with BWR and PWR vessels and components, Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS), and Containment Buildings.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, P6, PLM, and Oracle ERP.
• Open communication style and a proven ability to foster team relationships, including with vendors and global teams.
