This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Review, research, and confirm updates related to flood insurance, including escrow flood loan payments.
• Interpret, organize, and ensure the accuracy of insurance data.
• Conduct outbound calls and explore insurance carrier websites to validate and update coverage information.
• Input, modify, or adjust insurance details in AS400, LPS, Citrix, FiServ, MSP, and other client database systems.
• Investigate and verify insurance updates for compliance with FEMA and NFIP, flood adequacy, timing notifications, private investors, and escrow payment distributions.
• Modify flood insurance lines based on reports, documentation, or AS400 history and update the FI system of record accordingly.
• Address escrow disbursement discrepancies by examining loans and reaching out to insurance agencies or companies.
• Analyze and manage flood exception reports, resolving discrepancies using both internal and external systems.
• Compare private insurance flood policy jackets with regulatory standards.
• Generate client-specific reports and address exceptions necessitating manual flood coverage assessments using calculators, appraisals, and cost evaluations.
• Archive documents in loan files for auditing purposes.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least one to two (1-2) years of experience in insurance data processing and verification, mortgage banking loan servicing, or a related field.
• Intermediate knowledge of mortgage escrow accounts or homeowners insurance.
• Proficient computer skills and accurate keyboard abilities using applications such as MS Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail with the capability to maintain precision when processing data and identifying discrepancies.
• Familiarity with general office equipment such as phone systems, copiers, scanners, etc.
• Availability to work flexible hours, which may include early mornings, late evenings, or weekends.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while performing sedentary tasks.
• Capable of lifting up to 20 lbs. of files, supplies, documents, or other related items.
