This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct weekly service visits to designated farms, ensuring visits occur at least bi-weekly (every 10 days) along with additional check-ins as necessary.

• Gather comprehensive on-site data, which includes feed and water consumption, bird weight, case weights, and ammonia levels.

• Present production report data in Excel-based formats, incorporating notes and photographs where appropriate.

• Coordinate feed orders from HBF’s specified mill, addressing quality issues and managing consumption levels.

• Review data and feed on a weekly basis with Live Operations, Compliance, and Feed Department Leaders.

• Create weekly visitation schedules utilizing Google Calendar.

• Supervise biosecurity, organic, and pasture-raised compliance at the farms being serviced.

• Issue verbal warnings, draft non-compliance warning letters, and formulate and implement follow-up plans.

• Participate in available training sessions.

• Assist in onboarding new producers and ensure barn construction adheres to AHA or HFAC standards.

• Ensure preparations for organic certification align with expectations.

• Attend to new populations, repopulations, and depopulations of hens.

• Support on-farm compliance activities, including audits, as required.

• Perform additional duties as necessary.

• Experience in poultry (preferably with layers) or farm settings.

• Proficiency in Excel, Dropbox, and Gmail.

• Highly organized individual.

• Strong time management skills; self-discipline is essential.

• Quick and effective problem-solving abilities.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving history.

• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and a collaborative work style.

• High level of initiative.

• Understanding of animal welfare standards and biosecurity protocols.

• Familiarity with state and federal agriculture and farming regulations and standards.
