Flex Software Application Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the deployment processes for Motorola’s public safety and command center software suite within intricate software environments.

• Perform operational evaluations, business process assessments, discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and documentation of findings.

• Analyze business processes and offer recommendations for the configuration and application of Motorola's mission-critical software solutions.

• Lead business process reengineering initiatives, workshops, and collaborative process development efforts.

• Create, develop, and deliver training curricula, learning aids, and instructional materials.

• Assist customers during the software implementation training.

• Define, coordinate, and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes.

• Document UAT outcomes in relation to the project’s Functional Requirements Matrix and assess results.

• Serve as a liaison between technical resources, engineers, and project managers.

• Work with internal teams to customize configurable COTS software to meet client-specific use cases.

• Support Project Managers and Program Directors throughout the project lifecycle while adhering to scope and budget limitations.

• Present analysis findings and project updates to stakeholders through clear and effective presentations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Project Management, or a minimum of 3 years experience in a Public Safety Information Technology environment.

• Over 3 years of experience in Public Safety, Business Analysis, Field Service, CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch), Records Management Systems, or Jail Applications.

• Must be a self-driven team player capable of working effectively with general guidance towards objectives.

• Must be a U.S. citizen with the capability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contracts.

• Must be eligible for background clearance as required by government clients.

• Successfully complete a more rigorous fingerprint background check administered by Motorola under the CJIS Security Policy.

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely.

• Employer work permit sponsorship is not available.

• Willingness to travel extensively throughout North America, with 50–75% travel required.
