Fleet Technical Specialist – Flying Doc

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Execute field service and remote tasks to assist dealers, authorized repair shops, and technical centers across Europe.

• Identify and resolve intricate technical issues in customer vehicles, including advanced electrical/electronic and multiplexing faults.

• Evaluate problems impacting individual vehicles as well as widespread fault patterns affecting multiple vehicles.

• Establish immediate and long-term corrective actions.

• Utilize OEM diagnostic tools like wiTECH POD and DiagBOX VCI for guided diagnostics, software updates, reprogramming, and parameterization.

• Manage individual cases alongside cross-functional technical challenges impacting entire fleets.

• Compile clear technical reports and case updates.

• Mentor technicians and offer hands-on assistance.

• Contribute recurring issues to continuous improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in vehicle diagnostics, technical support, workshop operations, or field service.

• Proven capability to resolve complex electrical/electronic faults.

• Practical experience with OEM diagnostic tools.

• Competence in interpreting wiring diagrams and technical documentation.

• Experience working collaboratively with workshops, engineering teams, or technical groups.

• Ability to support and mentor technicians.

• Preferred: background in field service or multi-site support, multi-brand experience, and technical support for an OEM or importer.

• Familiarity with modern vehicle systems: powertrain, ADAS, body electronics.

• Knowledge of networks: CAN / LIN / FlexRay.

• Proficient in diagnostic techniques: root cause analysis, guided diagnostics, flashing.

• Strong written and spoken English skills are required.

• Additional European language skills are a plus.
