Fleet Services Advisor I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Examine repair estimates, diagnostics, and maintenance recommendations for commercial vehicles and equipment.

• Assess repair requirements in accordance with customer maintenance policies, OEM guidelines, warranty considerations, and industry best practices.

• Approve repairs and maintenance services within the designated approval parameters.

• Evaluate labor operations, parts needs, and repair suggestions for precision, necessity, and cost efficiency.

• Utilize vehicle repair history, maintenance records, warranty details, parts pricing, labor standards, and repair best practices to inform maintenance decisions.

• Engage with repair facilities, technicians, vendors, and customers to gather diagnostic insights and clarify repair suggestions.

• Represent customer interests by facilitating repairs and ensuring service providers align with customer maintenance expectations.

• Review managed repairs and preventive maintenance inspections for accuracy, legitimacy, and compliance.

• Investigate maintenance history and past repairs to aid in repair authorization decisions.

• Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies, estimate differences, maintenance-related disputes, and billing issues.

• Promote compliance with preventive maintenance programs and manage vehicle maintenance scheduling.

• Collaborate with internal teams, service providers, and customers to reduce vehicle downtime and guarantee timely repair completion.

• Keep meticulous records of repair authorizations, recommendations, and case activities.

• Provide prompt communication, high-quality service, and sound maintenance decisions.

• Handle multiple repair cases concurrently while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED along with 4 years of experience in fleet maintenance, diesel repair, automotive repair, warranty administration, service advising, vehicle maintenance operations, or a related field.

• Alternative qualifications include an associate degree with 2 years of experience; a bachelor's degree in a relevant field; or 8 years of applicable experience.

• Proficient working knowledge of automotive, diesel, or commercial vehicle maintenance and repair.

• Capability to comprehend vehicle diagnostics, repair suggestions, and maintenance needs.

• Ability to interpret repair estimates, labor operations, parts requirements, maintenance recommendations, and warranty considerations.

• Strong computer skills and the ability to navigate multiple software systems simultaneously.

• Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

• Capacity to handle a high-volume workload while upholding quality and customer service standards.

• ASE Certification(s) or other industry-recognized maintenance certifications are preferred.

• Experience supporting medium-duty and heavy-duty commercial fleets is preferred.

• Background in fleet management, transportation, trucking, dealership service operations, or OEM warranty administration is preferred.

• Prior experience in reviewing repair estimates, warranty claims, maintenance authorizations, or vendor invoices is preferred.

• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs, DOT compliance requirements, and OEM maintenance standards is preferred.

• Previous mechanical training or hands-on technician experience is preferred.

• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

• Must currently have authorization to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.

• No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, or visa sponsorship now or in the future.
