Fleet Maintenance Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct routine preventative maintenance on construction machinery.

• Immediately address service requests and carry out repairs or maintenance as directed by the Equipment Coordinator or Equipment Manager.

• Collaborate and communicate service-related issues with the Equipment Coordinator or Equipment Manager.

• Work with external service providers to resolve service challenges.

• Assess services rendered and finalize work orders utilizing maintenance software.

• Ensure that equipment is safe, functional, and ready for jobsite use.

• Execute welding and burning tasks.

• Complete and submit electronic work orders on a daily basis.

• Adhere to Moss Safety Guidelines and Policies while working safely.

• Coordinate and communicate with Asset Management Team members, job sites, and vendors.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Report directly to the Equipment Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate's Degree in a Heavy Equipment Program is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry is essential.

• Must maintain a DOT physical for operating a commercial service vehicle.

• A CDL is preferred but not mandatory.

• Proficiency in equipment hydraulic systems is necessary.

• Capability to work on hydraulic and air braking systems is required.

• Must be able to troubleshoot electrical problems.

• Basic knowledge and diagnostic skills in diesel engines are needed.

• Hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs are essential.

• Certifications or specific training in Safety, Brakes (Hydraulic and Air), Engine (Gas and Diesel), Transmissions, Troubleshooting, and Suspension Systems are required.

• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel, are necessary.

• Willingness to travel to job sites in FL, GA, and/or AR and stay overnight based on current residency is required.

• Ability to work in outdoor conditions is essential.

• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Capability to prioritize workload and daily tasks is required.

• Must be able to engage in frequent physical activity both indoors and outdoors.

• Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with the capacity to handle heavier loads with assistance when needed.

• Must be able to work around moving mechanical parts, elevated work areas, loud noise, and extreme temperatures.
