Fire Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop and evaluate fire strategies for various types of buildings and occupancy types.

• Execute and document thorough fire risk assessments in compliance with applicable legislation and guidance under the BAFE SP205 scheme.

• Assist in the formulation and assessment of Building Safety Cases and related documentation.

• Collaborate with fire risk assessors to address validation challenges and offer technical support regarding the BAFE SP205 scheme.

• Deliver expert fire engineering and fire safety counsel to clients, project teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

• Stay informed about UK fire safety legislation, British Standards, Approved Documents, and industry best practices.

• Work in partnership with architects, design teams, contractors, and building managers to create effective, compliant, and economical fire safety solutions.

• Engage in internal training, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing programs to promote continuous improvement within the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Fire Engineering or a relevant qualification in Fire Engineering or a related field.

• Comprehensive understanding of UK fire safety legislation, Approved Document B, British Standards, and related guidance.

• Proven experience in developing fire strategies and performing fire engineering assessments.

• Experience in conducting fire risk assessments under the BAFE SP205 scheme is preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• A dedication to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

• Willingness to travel to client sites throughout the UK, including occasional overnight stays when necessary.
