Fire Alarm CAD Drafter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Provide CAD drafting and design assistance for the design department.

• Create technical drawings and documentation for fire alarm system installations utilizing available tools and libraries.

• Collaborate with a designer to produce CAD drawings that align with project specifications.

• Generate floorplans, calculations, details, and various diagrams as necessary.

• Assist internal customers by responding to inquiries and other support requests.

• Engage with team members to complete tasks, achieve collective objectives, resolve issues, settle conflicts, and evaluate accomplishments.

• Apply departmental processes and objectives when organizing self-directed work activities.

• Finish administrative tasks accurately and punctually.

• Collaborate with designers to convert project requirements into precise CAD outputs.

• Manage tasks according to project priorities and timelines.

• Recognize questions and eliminate obstacles early to provide prompt internal support.

• Communicate with designers, colleagues, and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and support common goals.

• Enhance work through precision, transparency, and practical problem-solving.

• Maintain dependable drawings, documentation, and handoffs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in AutoCAD versions 2018 and above.

• Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

• Capability to work under guidance, independently, or as part of a team.

• Ability to organize and handle multiple assignments and responsibilities.

• Capacity to meet deadlines while maintaining a positive demeanor.

• Strong and professional communication skills, including the ability to convey information effectively to internal customers.

• Understanding of fire alarm and security system principles.

• Basic knowledge of low voltage electrical system schematics and diagrams.

• Proficient in REVIT/BIM.

• Familiarity with Simplex fire systems.

• NICET Fire Alarm Systems Certification.
