Financial Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee secure financial mechanisms for distributing funds to various teams globally.

• Report directly to the Senior Operations Manager.

• Collaborate with the Project Manager and Project Officer.

• Ensure timely disbursement of funds to project teams.

• Conduct risk assessments, implement mitigation strategies, and monitor funding mechanisms.

• Establish and maintain financial records for accurate accounting of all funds.

• Prepare financial reports and briefings regarding funding mechanisms.

• Account for all funds, maintain financial documentation, and provide monthly reports to the Project Manager.

• Ensure that teams are adequately funded for effective project delivery within a complex federal contracting landscape.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience in sensitive operational and inter-agency support, finance and accounting, HUMINT, signature reduction support, infrastructure development, and risk management/reduction.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; or 4 years of additional equivalent professional experience.

• At least 8 years of experience in a federal contracting environment.

• Top Secret clearance or higher is mandatory.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with personnel at all organizational levels, including both technical and non-technical staff.

• Knowledge of federal contracting environments, governance processes, and compliance requirements.

• Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment while effectively managing stressful situations.

• Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and proficiency in managing reporting and project communications.

• US work authorization without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
