Financial Reporting Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute regulatory reporting files across various taxonomies for publicly traded companies utilizing state-of-the-art software.

• Implement XBRL tagging for financial statements and accompanying footnotes.

• Verify the accuracy of XBRL tagging within financial statements and footnotes to meet filing deadlines.

• Assist Professional Services Managers and Directors while gaining insight into the fundamental aspects of their roles.

• Conduct feature testing for Quality Assurance purposes.

• Collaborate with teams on special projects, including investigating new mandates and developing XBRL tagging examples.

• Work in partnership with cross-functional teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting.

• Preferred GPA of 3.2 or higher.

• Proficient in using spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software.

• Strong communication and leadership abilities demonstrated through involvement in community, school, or other leadership roles.

• Professional, sociable, and energetic demeanor with exceptional interpersonal skills.

• Capability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative.

• Attention to detail and commitment to follow-through are essential.

• Familiarity with Excel, Word, Google Docs, and similar word processing applications.

• Minimal travel required.

• Reliable internet connection necessary for remote work outside of a Workiva office.
