This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Monitor and report on the profitability of projects.
• Collaborate with project teams, clients, and internal departments to enhance financial performance and deliver high-quality clinical research project management services.
• Review client agreements and translate them into Innovaderm's internal cost frameworks.
• Establish and configure projects within project management and financial systems.
• Prepare and upload project budgets along with any amendments that impact scope or timelines.
• Identify and estimate the cost of out-of-scope services.
• Recognize revenue and expenses in accordance with Canadian GAAP and contractual obligations.
• Generate journal entries for accruals and project allocations.
• Analyze actual project revenues and costs against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and their causes.
• Prepare and present financial reports for projects, including profit and loss statements, financial forecasts, accrual reports, and invoicing status.
• Oversee project balance sheet accounts and maintain precise financial records.
• Review project invoicing and provide expertise as necessary.
• Ensure that all study invoices are generated and paid upon study completion.
• Serve as the primary client contact for inquiries related to invoicing.
• Collaborate closely with project managers to comprehend requirements and financial impacts.
• Offer financial guidance and support for budget management and cost control.
• Facilitate financial review meetings with project managers and clients.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to enhanced financial processes and tools.
• Carry out other assigned duties when qualified and properly trained.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• CPA certification is a plus.
• At least 4 years of experience in project accounting.
• Strong command of both spoken and written English.
• Professional judgment and demonstrated interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Critical thinking and proactive problem-solving capabilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Proficient in financial management tools and office software, including Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems.
• Ability to thrive in a constantly evolving work environment.
• Must have legal authorization to work in Argentina.
