Financial Data Analyst III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +44 more states.

📋 Description

• Generate, assess, report, and interpret financial and organizational data.

• Evaluate financial trends to assist in reporting and guide business decisions.

• Oversee financial data analysis initiatives.

• Create comprehensive revenue and expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations.

• Develop and assess monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

• Facilitate precise financial reporting and conduct accrual analysis.

• Recognize financial trends and developments, examine underlying factors, and communicate insights to leadership.

• Execute financial forecasting and reconcile internal accounts.

• Aid business initiatives through data analysis, identifying implementation challenges, and conducting user acceptance testing of systems.

• Identify issues and explore opportunities for process redesign and enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring employment-based visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

• Strong proficiency in Excel for financial analysis and reporting is highly preferred.

• Preferred experience with SQL, including the ability to independently extract and analyze data; foundational SQL skills with a willingness to learn may also be considered.

• Experience in the insurance industry is highly desirable.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

• A minimum of 4 years in statistical or data analysis.

• Experience in financial analysis, particularly related to month-end close, government reporting, and financial forecasting.

• General understanding of analysis tools, SQL, and Microsoft Applications.
