Financial Clearance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Achieve a quantity benchmark of 100% and a quality benchmark of 90%, assessed through audits.

• Maintain a denial and rejection rate below 10%.

• Confirm patient benefits and secure necessary authorizations.

• Manage the assigned schedule, including the verification of insurance authorization requirements, benefits, and patient demographics within the designated days-out timeframe.

• Evaluate effectiveness using Visiquate and Waystar systems.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or GED is required.

• A Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not mandatory.

• At least 1 year of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience that equips you with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for the role.

• Experience in a healthcare setting or a healthcare claims environment is highly beneficial.

• Familiarity with medical terminology related to insurance financial clearance, medical collections, and billing (CPT, ICD-9, HCPCS).

• Prior experience with OH Insurance Payers and obtaining prior authorizations.

• Capable of providing patients with benefit information regarding surgical GI procedures.

• Able to assess if an insurance policy necessitates a referral.

• Previous experience with remote work is essential.
