Finance Systems Specialist – 12 months contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the inventory system roadmap, encompassing enhancements, BRDs/PRDs, and complete delivery from design through UAT to release.

• Oversee UAT cycles by formulating test plans, conducting QA, and providing sign-off prior to deployment.

• Diagnose system issues and develop self-service diagnostic scripts.

• Facilitate ERP integration and establish automated data pipelines.

• Plan and execute data migrations utilizing scripting and AI-assisted tools for validation and reconciliation.

• Design and implement automation and AI-driven workflows throughout finance operations, including journal entry generation, bank reconciliation, data extraction, reporting, and exception handling.

• Create and sustain self-service tools, dashboards, and scripts using Python, SQL, Excel/VBA, and low-code platforms.

• Assess and integrate AI/ML tools such as LLMs, copilots, and RPA.

• Keep system documentation updated, including BRDs, runbooks, and user guides.

• Assist with ad-hoc finance transformation projects by delivering scalable, repeatable solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in FinTech, Financial Services, or dynamic tech environments.

• Certified accountant (CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent) with experience in multi-currency accounting.

• Practical ERP experience (SAP, Workday, NetSuite) including integrations or migrations.

• Capable of independently building tools using Python, SQL, and/or VBA.

• Familiarity with low-code platforms.

• Proven experience leveraging AI tools (LLMs, copilots, RPA) to automate analysis, documentation, testing, or workflows.

• Proficient in Excel for large dataset reconciliation and data validation.

• Self-motivated individual comfortable working autonomously in ambiguous, resource-limited environments.
