This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and enhance the annual budgeting processes and quarterly reforecasts across various markets, ministries, and entities.
• Offer monthly closing assistance, coordinate accounting activities, and prepare income statements, balance sheets, and long-term financial projections.
• Act as the subject matter expert and project leader for budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
• Execute enhancements to financial systems, streamline workflows, and standardize tools, methodologies, dashboards, and analytics processes.
• Evaluate claims, eligibility, attribution, CMS/payer files, and contract datasets to uncover trends, risk factors, financial opportunities, and performance deficiencies.
• Design and sustain executive dashboards and KPI reporting for leadership and governance purposes.
• Assist in modeling value-based contracts, including MSSP, MA, shared savings, and bundled payments.
• Deliver financial, utilization, and quality analytics to support improvement initiatives, vendor evaluations, and strategic decision-making.
• Perform data validation, reconciliations, controls assessments, and audit preparations.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PHI, and organizational data governance standards.
• Convert actuarial, contractual, and management guidelines into actionable financial insights and strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with Shared Services, Market Finance, data teams, and leadership to synchronize reporting, performance management, and compliance obligations.
• Prepare and present reports to senior leadership, boards, committees, and external stakeholders.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses and provide proactive financial insights that align with enterprise strategy and operational objectives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Health Informatics, Data Analytics, or a related field (required).
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare finance, accounting, actuarial/insurance analytics, value-based care analytics, or similar fields (required).
• Proven experience with healthcare claims, eligibility, and financial datasets (required).
• Proficiency in SQL, Tableau (or other business intelligence tools), Excel, and relational databases (required).
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification (preferred).
• CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional – IIBA) certification (preferred).
• Familiarity with Medicare Advantage, MSSP, ACOs, CINs, risk-based payment models, or provider/payer financial reconciliation workflows (preferred).
• Experience with financial planning software.
• Understanding of healthcare finance and accounting principles.
• Skills in SQL querying, data extraction, and relational database navigation.
• Ability to analyze claims, eligibility, attribution, and contract data.
• Proficient in using Tableau or equivalent data visualization tools.
• Experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning.
• Competence in KPI development, monitoring, and benchmarking.
• Familiarity with audit preparation, data validation, and quality assurance processes.
• Experience in analyzing healthcare performance metrics (cost, utilization, quality).
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, and formulas).
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and data governance standards.
